Testing Laboratory of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences

The Testing Laboratory of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences was founded as an independent part of the faculty in 2005. Its activities are mainly focused on measurements in the Railway Interlocking Systems' area.

The Laboratory accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute performs in accordance with ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, the Czech version of the European Standard EN/ISO IEC 17025:2017

The Testing Laboratory is divided into two main sections:

Basic electric quantities measurement section

System Eurobalise measurement section

Sections

Section no. 1

In terms of Section no. 1 basic electric quantities measurements (voltage, current, resistance, frequency, phase shift) are taken in order to carry out conformance and other testing of the electrical, electromechanical and electronic railway interlocking equipment.
The Section no. 1 performs following tests (both laboratory and field tests):
